A drowned valley turned into a maze of 1,077 forested islands, Qiandao Lake is Zhejiang's great watery playground. Ferries hop between islets topped with pagodas and viewpoints, while the lake's famously clear water — the source of a major bottled-water brand — invites kayaking, cycling the lakeside greenway, and diving to sunken Ming-era towns beneath the surface.
