普陀山风景名胜区

One of China's four sacred Buddhist mountains, sea-girt Putuo rises from the East China Sea as the bodhisattva Guanyin's legendary home. Incense drifts through ancient temples like Puji and Huiji, pilgrims climb the thousand-step path to the Huiji summit, and the 33-meter South Sea Guanyin statue gazes over the waves that have carried devotees here for a millennium.
