Liugong Island

刘公岛景区

A small island guarding Weihai Bay, Liugong Island was the home base of China's Beiyang Fleet in the late Qing dynasty. Visitors can tour the fleet headquarters, gun batteries and the Sino-Japanese War museum, then walk wooded trails with harbor views. Ferries cross from the city in about twenty minutes.
